Ira Dankberg founded Urban Strategies Consulting, Inc. in 2009 to provide Real Estate Project Management Services to Developers, Investors, Lenders and Owners. With his unique professional background which combines Architecture, Construction Management and Real Estate Development Ira provides professional leadership to align the interests of all team members with that of the Client to ensure success for highly complex urban developments. On behalf of the Client, Ira is the focal point for effectively executing all strategies necessary to achieve financial, program and design objectives. Creation of environmentally sustainable developments which compliment their urban context and transform their communities is his highest objective.


In 2003 Ira joined Bond Companies, a real estate development firm in Los Angeles, as Senior Project Manager, where he led the development of commercial, residential and mixed use projects. He was responsible for all phases of development from project feasibility, entitlements, design/construction management, through leasing and sales.

From 1990 to 2003 Ira practiced architecture with his own firm, City Architects, based in Hollywood, CA, where he designed media facilities for Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, CA and Tribune Broadcasting in Hollywood, CA. City Architects was responsible for restorations of historic buildings and the design various commercial and retail projects.

As Project Architect at Widom Wein Cohen Architects he managed major design projects which include The Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum (Griffith Park, Los Angeles, CA) and additions to Glendale Memorial Hospital.
